Taylor Swift Latest Look the 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards

Perhaps the winner with the most awards for the night during the 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards would be Taylor Swift. This girl really knows how to rock the red carpet. This is just the icing on her cake as she got the Entertainer of the Year.

But aside from her awards, she has to be applauded on her walk on the red carpet. Not many women would look good in lemon yellow, especially if you are as fair. It is such t tricky color to pull off.

Created by Elie Saab, this couture gown has embroidery in it and yellow applique’ and it ends with a small train at the back. The gown is also backless. Her shoes are made by Ralph Lauren. To complete the look, she wore diamond and platinum earrings and one cocktail ring on her hand.

To counter the paleness created by the gown, a punchy red gloss that looked like translucent from afar. As usual, she kept her makeup in general totally simple. She enhanced her peepers by wear thick false eyelashes and dark eyeliner. Her usual glorious hair is done in her signature style, and that is, loose and curly.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal Met


Show business is a small world. It is inevitable that two exes can bump into each other, especially at the night right after the Oscars.

At the annual Vanity Fair after-Oscars party, other guests have seen the two former lovers to be in serious mood while they were talking near the restrooms. It was not certainly a party chatter.

It seemed like they were like catching up. Apparently there was no chemistry anymore. After the small chitchat, the two parted. Gyllenhaal went out and Swift went to party with two other friends.

The two dated last year but broke up the month before the year ended.

A New Date For Taylor Swift

Seems like all is well in the Taylor Swift camp. After her love affair with Jake Gyllenhaal,the young hitmaker was spotted watching the NHL hockey game between MinnesotaWild and LA Kings at Staples Center in L.A.

The date was no other than Glee hottie Chord Overstreet. A new love in early stages could be in the works between the two.
As sources have seen, the two are seen in a relaxed mood and seem comfortable inthe each other’s company. An eyewitness even commented to Us Magazine that the two looked good together. Now that it is in the open, it seems that the romance between Swift and Gyllenhaal has died down.

The latter was said to have wanted to start over with the “Fearless” singer but looks likethe singer has moved on.
Taylor has met Chord when his brother wrote a rap song for her to perform with T-Painback in 2009. One of the pals of Chord said that the guy was interested in the singer and he would pursue her.

Taylor Swift Gives Back

Taylor Swift has been blessed with beauty, musical talent, remarkable poise, and the good luck and good sense to run a successful career in music, with a smattering of acting and modeling for good measure.  However, she is more than just a successful entertainer; she is a philanthropist as well, and she believes in giving back.

During the year 2007, Ms. Swift teamed up with the governor of Tennessee, Phil Bredesen, to launch a campaign to protect children against internet sex crimes.  She lent her fame to an important directive to communicate with youth and parents about the dangers of online predators.

In 2008, all proceeds from Taylor Swift’s merchandise sales at the 2008 Country Music Festival were donated to the Red Cross for the Nashville Area Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and the National American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.  With a consistent eye on the activities of the Red Cross, Ms. Swift donated $100,000 to the organization in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for the Disaster Relief Fund for the victims of the Iowa Flood of 2008.  She participated in the Sound Relief Concert in Sydney, Australia, and was the largest contributor to the Australian Red Cross at this concert held for the Victorial Brush Fire Appeal.

Ms. Swift also seems to understand her place as a role model for young people, lending her fame to such campaigns as the teen led social change organization, @15, and even contributed a song to their campaign. On her birthday, December 13, Taylor donated $250,000 to various schools she had attended or with which she had been involved.

Taylor Swift: On Top of the World

Taylor Swift’s lovely voice, sweet lyrics, and beautiful face have won the hearts of millions all over the world in both country and pop music.  Born in 1989, Taylor Alison Swift has taken country music and the pop charts by storm.  She released her first album, titled “Taylor Swift,” in 2006, which included several songs she had written during her freshman year in high school.  The album peaked at number one on the American Billboard Country Charts and the Canadian Country Billboard Charts, ultimately certifying multi-platinum and earning her a “best new artist” nomination at the 50th Grammy Awards Show.

Today, just four short years later, Ms. Swift has reached something very close to super stardom.  She has released three albums to date, all of which have certified multi-platinum, and in addition to multiple cameo appearances, she made her movie debut in 2010 as Felicia in the movie, “Valentine’s Day.”  She has made repeated appearances on reality shows such as “Dancing with the Stars” and “America’s Got Talent.”

“People” Magazine has included Ms. Swift in their 100 Most Beautiful People list in 2008, 2009, and 2010, and “Maxim” magazine ranked her at number fifty-seven on their 2008 list of sexiest women; in 2009 she landed at number fifty, and in 2010, she was ranked at number thirty-one.

As her popularity soars, Taylor Swift has become the spokesperson for the National Hockey League and is the face of L.E.I. Jeans.  However, Ms. Swift has filed suit against a number of other merchandisers who have used her name, likeness, or identity without her permission.

Kanye Removes His apology to Taylor Swift From Blog

For a minute last night, it seemed like Kanye West had come to his senses when he expressed remorse for his incredible rudeness to teenage country star Taylor Swift at the VMAs.

But much like Kanye’s manners, it was gone all too soon.

After jumping on stage to snatch the microphone from Swift as she accepted her award for best female video at the MTV show, West charged that Beyonce deserved to win instead.

The controversial rapper was then forced to leave the awards show and retreat to somewhere in rude rapper oblivion.

There, he took to his blog to say he was “sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom,” admitting that he was “in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment.”

But by this morning, the apology, of which MTV posted a screengrab, was nowhere to be found.

Swigging cognac on the carpet, bringing a date in a snakeskin onesie, snatching the mic from a teenager and then removing your sad little apology to her from your weird cartoon blog. What’s next Kanye?

Singer Kanye West takes the microphone from singer Taylor Swift as she accepts the “Best Female Video” award during the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009 in New York. When Taylor was on stage making her acceptance speech for winning Best Female Video award, Kanye ran out onto the stage and took the microphone from her to give a shout-out to Beyonce, one of the other nominees.

Taylor Swift, the young country singer with a wardrobe to die for has given young girls a chance to recreate her wardrobe, auctioning off some of her most famous dresses for charity. Although her actions have been met with mixed reviews with some critics reportedly saying that she is getting ?too big for her boots,? the charity event was a massive hit with the charity being one to help disadvantaged young girls have fabulous dresses for events such as proms.

It was a Jessica McClintock dress that had fans in a frenzy, reaching a reported $1,200 for the cream and gold number. This was her very own prom dress and she stated that she loved the dress and wished for another young girl to have such a gorgeous dress to show off and love.

Taylor Swift has already proven herself to be an amazing role model for young girls all over the world, dismissing party ways of other celeb teens of the same age and stating that she preferred a quiet night in with her famous pals than hitting the local nightspots.

She also proclaimed that her love for her career has been a major factor in her not wanting to go off the rails, something that young girls will always aspire to.

With her great music career hitting off and a wardrobe that most young girls can only dream of, Taylor really has proven that fairy tale dreams really do come true and with one lucky girl wearing the auctioned dress for her prom, the former statement has never been more true.
